Everything Nassau rounds up the best events lighting up the season, so you can make the most of every warm, starry evening right here on Long Island.

Farmingdale’s Music on Main is a great summer time fun that turns two blocks of downtown—between Prospect and South Front Streets—into a lively pedestrian-only festival every other Thursday from 5–9 pm (with rain date on August 28). Scheduled for July 10, July 24, August 7, and August 21 in 2025, the event is completely free and welcomes families, friends, and music fans.
Live bands will take the stage right on Main Street as visitors stroll past local boutiques, dine al fresco at village restaurants, and discover pop-up experiences like Axe‑Throwing and interactive kids’ activities . Shops and eateries spill out onto the sidewalks under twinkling string lights, creating a charming small‑town feel with a community‑driven energy.
These will be presented by the Farmingdale BID and supported by the Chamber of Commerce, Music on Main is more than just a music, it’s a festive mid‑week outing that spotlights Nassau County culture, encourages local commerce, and makes summer memories on Main Street.

Park After Dark in Massapequa Park brings Mid‑Summer magic to the village of Massapequa Park as Park Blvd turns into a lively evening destination for families and friends.
Hosted by the Village, the event welcomes residents on select Wednesdays through the season—this year on May 14, June 11, July 16, and August 13—from 5 pm to 9 pm, with live music, food trucks, and local restaurant offerings creating a festive street-fair vibe .
The streets come alive with string lights, upbeat tunes, dining under the stars, and an array of vendors that make for a delightful community evening. Whether you’re craving a drink, beautiful music, or a casual stroll through the town’s nightlife, Park After Dark offers an amazing, free outdoor night out that captures one of the best of Nassau County Long Island summer fun.

Nassau County Levittown’s Food Truck Fridays™ has quickly become a great way to kick off your weekend with 8 to10 rotating gourmet food trucks serving everything from international delights to desert treats on the lawn at VFW Post 9592 (55 Hickory Lane) every Friday from 5–9 pm, no matter the weather.
Began in 2018 by Wendy Lantigua, the weekly gathering not only brings Nassau County Levittown neighbors together under the stars with lawn chairs and picnic blankets, but also supports the local VFW—raising donations for veterans and scholarships.
Welcoming family-friendly vibe, Levittown’s Friday night food fest offers delicious eats, community connection, and a fun end‑of‑week tradition right here in Nassau County Long Island.

Thursday Night Live in Wantagh Nassau County Long Island brings the vibe of a street‑party summer to Railroad Avenue every Thursday evening from Memorial Day through August.
Starting around 5 p.m., the road will be closed off and lined with food vendors, craft booths, and live music stages, creating a lively pedestrian-only block party atmosphere .
Presented by the Wantagh Chamber of Commerce and local businesses, the series showcases a diverse lineup of bands and performers, drawing neighbors and visitors to dance, dine, and mingle under the stars.
With its summer spirit, mix of family-friendly activities, and tremendous community energy, Thursday Night Live is one of Wantagh’s most anticipated midweek highlights—and a perfect way to experience that “Gateway to Jones Beach” charm.
